Multi-skilling staff development programme, 1996 to 1998 Vauxhall Motors, a subsidiary of General Motors, undertook to create a more flexible maintenance regime through the multi-skilling of maintenance staff. Project included completing accreditation of prior learning (APL) assessments for 350 maintenance operatives, recruiting and developing technical training consultants, managing the development of training resources and materials, managing and evaluating the delivery of training. |

Staff development programme, 1998 to 2002 Following a safety audit of the company, it was decided that a staff development programme was need for all staff with managerial responsibilities. Project included developing and delivering an integrated training programme for senior and middle management, company managers, departmental heads and supervisors. |

Esplanade (Singapore) |
Staff development in safety management for new senior management recruited for the Esplanade, Spring 2001 onwards. Project included the development and delivery of training on legislation and risk management, hazard auditing, risk assessments and risk control systems for staff, from a variety of backgrounds, appointed to manage the development of the Esplanade from a building site to a functional arts venue. Project extended to include training middle management in safety management and training the trainers to deliver manual handling safety training. |

Royal Opera House, Covent Garden |
Staff development programme, 2002 onwards, training technicians, supervisors and managers to IOSH Working, Supervising and Managing Safely levels. Since the major refurbishment of the Royal Opera House, large numbers of staff have been recruited with no structured safety training programme in place. The project involves the development of an integrated safety training programme for all technical staff, from operatives to senior management, and to develop key members of staff to become internal safety advisors.
